Meet the breeder

I'm Colleen M., the breeder behind Wild Wood Chesapeakes located in California. Hobby breeder of top conforming purebred Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy. Interested buyers will be interviewed by phone and in person where possible. Ideal settings for CBRs are rural areas with ample opportunities for exercise, training and activities. Minimum acreage considered for placement is 1/4 -1/2 acre; fenced for safety and security unless extremely remote and safe. Pups are sold on a ‘Limited Registration/No Breeding’ basis with certain exceptions for breeders, handlers, veterinary professionals. Deposits are required once breeding takes place to secure waiting list position. Deposits are fully refundable if pregnancy is not confirmed and/or there are no pups available in current litter.
