I'm Janelle B., the breeder behind Wilderness Weenies located in Medina County, OH. Responsible & ethical breeding is our top priority! We breed to improve by providing our doxies with routine vet care, screening for genetic health problems, regular exercise, and good nutrition. Our sausage dogs are AKC registered, live in our home full time & are treated like family.

DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy (PRA-crd), Standard Wirehaired Dachshund Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
