I'm Isabel M., the breeder behind Wildthings Australian Shepherds located in Auburndale, FL. All our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We are a small at-home breeder striving to produce well-tempered, healthy, and happy puppies. We are not looking to provide a pet but a family member to forever homes. Our puppies are raised inside of our home in a family setting. We focus on enviromental acclimation and socialization. All our dogs are genetically health tested and have passed OFA elbows/Hips exams and are clear on eye CAER.
Q. & A. with Isabel
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved animals but Aussies have captured my heart. Their exuberance, loyalty and intelligence just drew me in. Years ago I learned a hard lesson in purchasing from a disreputable breeder. After losing my heart dog to cancer and arthritis I learned that the benefits of a well-bred pup are priceless. We want the best for them and this begins with breeding responsibly.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
