I'm Jodie & Dion, the breeder behind Willaby located in Massachusetts. We have loved and owned Staffords for 20+ years as wonderful companions, and in Australia, where we are originally from, they are a top-rated family dog. My husband Dion and I purchased our first Stafford here in the USA in 2013, and whilst we just planned for a companion, we quickly became involved in Stafford and conformation showing fraternity. We also added a Miniature Bull Terrier to our family in 2017.
Q. & A. with Jodie & Dion
Why did you start breeding?
We have loved and owned Staffords for 20+ years as wonderful companions in Australia where my husband and I are originally from. We purchased our first Stafford here in the USA in 2013 and whilst we just planned for a companion, we quickly became involved in Stafford community and conformation show. A natural path is to breed for your next show dog with the help of mentors to preserve the breed.
What makes your program special?
I don't think anyone's program is more special than anothers, but I like to think we focus on temperament and health while maintaining breed type utilizing foreign and domestic bloodlines. We aim to breed world-class competitive dogs that are also wonderful companions. Our own dogs are companions first and the majority of our puppies are sold as companions where health & temperament is a priority
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
