I'm Shannon K., the breeder behind Willow Kane Farm Labrador Retrievers located in Orangevale, CA. We breed healthy and balanced Labs for families as companions, emotional support partners, therapy companions, and Service Dogs. We are dedicated to breeding well-rounded dogs. We do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life. We are committed to breeding dogs that are fully health tested and are Negative of any testable Labrador Retriever genetic issue through Paw Print Genetics.

Why did you start breeding?
We had the opportunity to have two exceptionally tempered, healthy Labradors when my husband and I first married. We wanted to offer healthy, amazing canine companions to others at an affordable price that allowed young families and couples to realize their dream of having a Labrador as part of their family.What makes your program special?
We breed only clear health tested dams/sires (only negative or normal genetic results and so everything we can to start our puppies on a positive development path. We continue to provide hands on support, including puppy socializing and training as part of your adoption fee.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Shannon
Shannon has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Shannon partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“After puppies are temperament tested utilizing the Volhardt testing guidelines, puppies that are well served on a working home (service or therapy) are matched based on puppies disposition and need of handler, then puppies well served in a family home are matched based on puppies disposition and family lifestyle.”

“Our puppies are bred with purpose and raised with a lot of care and time. With each litter we devote approximately 2,500 hours of time and thousands of dollars to insure they have the best start and that each family has the support needed to raise a happy, healthy pup. Pup comes with: Microchip, vaccination, 24-mo health guarentee,30-day insurance, lifetime support guarantee, 6-week AKC S.TA.R. Puppy Class and more. Your retainer is required to guarantee a puppy once the litter is born. If you choose anytime after its paid to wait, it is applied to a future adoption from another litter.”

Program update on 23 Jan 2025 •…Lily’s puppies are growing by leaps and bounds and are 3-weeks old today! They are all weighing in from 3.10lbs to almost 6, their eyes are open, they are toddling all around and learning how to use the pee pad, and their ears are open.

About Emma
Emma is Sweet natured, inquisitive and very intelligent. She learns quickly, is wonderful with other dogs and animals and her favorite past time is watching Yellowstone and going for car rides to Tahoe. Emma is the second generation Canine with Willow Kane Farm, Labrador, Retrievers, and has littermates and line siblings in active working roles for service and therapy.

Piper is our velcro pup who would rather be with her humans than anywhere else, even at dinner time! She is smart, thoughtful and ready for a hike or a snuggle on the couch. She gets along with all of the dogs, is good with cats and has nice recall.

Pluto is a male Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Shannon decided to make him part of their program.
