Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

My experience with Anna was amazing, and honestly, it was so much better than I expected based on my contact with other breeders. From our first message, she was incredibly prompt and communicative. She didn’t hesitate to answer any questions that I had, and there were a lot! There was about a month before we were able to get our puppy, and Anna sent photos and videos to help us see how he was doing. I am incredibly grateful for Anna and everything she did while working with us. You can tell just by talking to her that she really cares about all of her dogs and takes her responsibilities as a breeder seriously. I will recommend her to anyone I know who is looking for a dachshund. I would definitely contact her again for another puppy in the future.
