Q. & A. with Katie
Why did you start breeding?
My sister-in-law is a dog breeder and i wanted my daughter to experience the fun of loving on and taking care of puppies. It's hard work to take care of them, but i enjoy the adventure and fulfillment of matching people to my little puppies.
What makes your program special?
I provide my dogs and puppies with as much love and care as i can. I also am good at communicating with buyers and answering any questions they have.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, fawn (isabella), black and cream, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent dogs
Ava, mom
Dachshund
About Ava
Ava is an AKC registered chocolate and cream dapple female. She is a velcro dog and loves toys and cuddling. She's very smart, attentive, and athletic. If any human is up and about doing something, Ava is probably in the middle of it 'helping.' Fun fact: her dappling is over one of her eyes, so half of her right eye is blue.
Winston, dad
Dachshund
About Winston
Winston is a 4 yr old hidden dapple cream male who lives close by with my best friend. He's well loved at his forever home, and enjoys to come visit my home for dates and pampering.
Rose, mom
Dachshund
About Rose
Rose is a chocolate and tan dapple miniature dachshund. She is the elegant lady of the bunch and makes new friends so they can give her attention, as well. She is AKC registered and is so photogenic!
Great health testing
Patellar Luxation, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, mutation originally found in Swedish Valhund.
Riley, mom
Dachshund
About Riley
Riley is a very athletic shaded cream piebald. She has always been friendly with other puppies, and has been a wonderful mother to previous litters.
When they cry, she goes and investigates -even jumping in the bathtub with her babies.
Remy, dad
Dachshund
About Remy
Remy is a chocolate and cream longhaired mini dachshund. He is my adult daughter's forever dog, and the love of her life. He was raised in a dorm, and is very social. He is gorgeous and enjoys being spoiled on his many adventures! There is something about boy dogs keeping their puppy love and loyalty, and he certainly does!

We were very happy with our experience with Katie! She answered any questions we had and was very flexible and accommodating with my husband and I for pick up or our Lucy! We drove all the way from NY to pick up Lucy and are so glad we made the decision to go with Willow Tree. Thank you Katie!! 🐾💕🐾
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
