Meet the breeder

I'm Heather S., the breeder behind Willowlake Australian Shepherds located in Dayton, OH. We strive to raise healthy and happy puppies from quality dogs. We prioritize health, temperament, and structure when considering a breeding pair. All of our dogs are dual registered with ASCA/AKC and we use Puppy Culture protocols on all our litters. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

My grandmother showed and bred Cocker Spaniels, so having my own kennel has always been a dream of mine. Once I became an empty nester, I knew that it was time to follow my dreams. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. We take great care with each breeding to ensure we are producing puppies that are excellent representations of the breed. We love what we do and truly want the very best for our puppies and their forever families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
