I'm Chris/Chelsey W., the breeder behind Wilson’s Double C Kennel located in La Vernia, TX. We focus on providing our puppies with daily socialization in a family enriched environment which also helps with noise desensitization. Early potty training is incorporated at 3/4 weeks of age to better help your new pup transition easily into their new home to continue his/her training.

Why did you start breeding?
Double C Kennel is owned and operated by Chris and Chelsey Wilson with the help of their 4 children in La Vernia, Texas. Chris Wilson has loved Cane Corsos since he was a kid and always dreamed of raising and breeding them for his own kennel one day. This year our family made that dream come true and we are now able to share this amazing dog breed with other families.What makes your program special?
We focus on providing our puppies with daily socialization in a family enriched environment which also helps with noise desensitization. Early potty and crate training is also incorporated at 5 weeks of age to better help your new pup transition easily into your new home to continue his/her training. Ultimately we hope our dogs bring your family as much joy as they do ours!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chestnut brindle, black, black brindle, and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Chris/Chelsey
Chris/Chelsey has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Chris/Chelsey partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
Price
"Our females and males are $3,500. Vaccinations, AKC registration, tails docked, dewormed, socialized daily w/children, & early training. All deposits are non refundable & due prior to the reservation of your future puppy. Other than first and second pick the remaining puppies will be the same price per sex regardless of color or size."

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Our experience was wonderful! Chris and Chelsey welcomed us in on fairly short notice. We spent time at their home interacting with their family and dogs, and that made us feel very comfortable. We thought we had a plan for our new addition but seeing our puppy made it hard to resist. I really appreciated Chris/Chelsey for allowing me to bring home one of their puppies. I liked how easy and safe it was to go through Gooddog and find the perfect pup. Chris/Chelsey worked with me and we were able to set up a pick up time. The Sire and Dame were very loving so I have no doubts about their pups. I definitely recommend picking a pup from this kennel. Chris/Chelsea were extremely knowledgeable about the breed and went above and beyond to answer our questions. They stayed in contact with updates leading up to the day we picked our puppy up.
