I'm Emily V., the breeder behind Winchester Hills Poodles and Doodles located in St. George, UT. Our work begins long before our puppies are born. We put our hearts into the health and happiness of every dog & puppy. From healthy parents come healthy pups, raised in our home with love and care. Each of our dogs is part of our family - and we love sharing that joy with others.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After I received Zoey (poodle) and Ava’s (goldendoodle) genetic test results I started studying health, trait, color/ coat and temperament. I was fascinated by the different color calculators. I ordered the BAB book and started learning. I was listening to every podcast, webinar, & YouTube video I could find. It didn’t take long before I was seeking out other breeders to learn everything I could.

  • What makes your program special?

    Before I purchased my females I researched breeders to find people I could trust. I wanted the confidence in knowing my dogs came from long healthy lines of amazing dogs, & that they received the best start with top-notch breeders. It’s now my job to carry on what the great breeders before me started. Our Pups start curriculum during week 1, including ENS/ESI. Start potty /crate intro at week 4.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, cream, red, parti, and phantom. Maltipoo puppies include parti, apricot, cream, red, white, phantom, black & tan tri-color, and black & tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Emily

Emily has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Emily partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,600 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Emily made this process of finding a fur baby so easy and seamless. I came across this app and started browsing for nearby breeders. I came across her page and found a puppy I was interested in. She answered all my questions during my first inquiry and a few weeks had gone by. She followed up again which made me rethink the decision and ultimately placed the deposit for the puppy that night! We coordinated the details of meeting up in Las Vegas, since she had other puppies to deliver as well. She provided the all the details for the type of food to order, pet insurance options, and all the puppy essentials. Emily also went above and beyond by taking the cutest weekly photos of the puppy.     We have had our puppy Violet (Armani) for over a year now, and she is truly the best puppy we could have asked for. The process of adopting her was made easy with Emily’s excellent communication and frequent updates on our puppy. Emily met us at the airport, and the trip back home was easy with no accidents. Since then, we’ve learned Violet is very sweet and loves every cat, dog, or person we meet. She is a quick learner and not afraid of anything. We’ve met other dogs who are anxious, but Violet has had perfect ENS training and it shows. She fits in great with our family, and is the perfect puppy for us.     Emily was absolutely the best breeder I have ever worked with! From the very beginning she was very responsive and extremely knowledgeable. The fact that she posts the genetic testing with the parents information was a sign I would be working with someone who understands the true nature of breeding. The puppy picking process was done with ease. I loved that she uploaded regular updates with photos and videos of the precious pups. Delivery day went without a hitch, and my new pup was handed off in excellent health with lots of goodies. He settled into his new home immediately and even slept through his first night.
