I'm Donna S., the breeder behind Wind Mountain Corgis located in Marble Falls, TX. We breed our puppies to be DM, EIC, and vWD1 Clear or Not Affected. This is very important to us to ensure your puppy has a long and happy life with you. Most of our dams were raised from our original Bella or are from a dog closely related to Bella. Although she is retired from breeding, her sweet spirit has been passed on to her daughters and granddaughters.
Q. & A. with Donna
Why did you start breeding?
Our dedication, devotion, and obsession with the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed began in 2012 when we brought home Bella. She brought us so much love and entertainment that we decided that we needed more short legs and wiggle-butts at our ranch. Our boys joined our family beginning with Jaxon, a beautiful sable with a sweet and loving disposition. We also have Ryder, our handsome black-headed tri.
What makes your program special?
We have completed building our beautiful new kennel. It was truly a labor of love. We do everything we can to ensure our puppies are going to individuals and families who will love and care for them. That may be a little selfish, but we feel a huge responsibility to these puppies. It is hard to part with them, so our consolation is that they will be loved and provide a lifetime of companionship.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

We’ve had the pleasure to work with Donna & Wind Mtn Corgis twice. We are the elated caretakers of Seamus (2yr old male sable) and Gwen (~4 month old female sable). Donna was fantastic to work with through the entire process. She provides constant communication and is there to answer any questions. She truly loves corgis and it shows in how they are raised, bred and treated. We are thankful we found Wind Mtn Corgis and Donna - she has helped us fill out our home with beautiful and healthy corgis. Very grateful.

Donna was absolutely amazing to work with! She sent me weekly pictures of Winnie and updated me about any vet visits. She provided so much useful information throughout the entire process so that by the time I picked Winnie up I had everything I needed. Highly recommend working with her if you’re looking for a corgi!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
