I'm Christy S., the breeder behind Winding Creek Ranch Doodles located in Crawfordsville, IN. We strive to breed and raise puppies that are well-adjusted, happy, healthy, and make a loving family companion. Our program has a commitment to the well-being and health of each our dogs. We do this through health testing, having a healthy, clean environment, and lots of hands on care.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have been obsessed with animals since I was a child. I met my first Goldendoodle in my grooming shop and was fascinated! As an adult, I wanted to learn all I could about raising puppies. I have dedicated years to my profession, learning all I can about the health, genetics, diet, training, and behaviors of these wonderful creatures.

  • What makes your program special?

    Honesty, integrity, knowledge, professional allocation process, passion for the dogs/program, focus on client preparation, and caring about people's needs.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies are miniature size. Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, black, phantom, and parti. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Christy

Christy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Christy partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,700 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

"Price de-worming, vaccinations, microchip, fully health tested parents, professional allocation process, client preparation, designer collar, leash, Snuggle Puppy scented with siblings. Deposits are refundable until the puppies are born. Then they are transferable until the puppies are 3 wks old. After that, the deposit is no longer refundable or transferable."

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Christy was very responsive, and I even messaged her later on in the day. As soon as I seen our pup I knew it was mean’t to be! I messaged Christy to get info about the puppy and she responded promptly. She fit me in to pick up the puppy the next day! She had to rush to send over all paperwork to make it work with timing since I had a 3 hour drive to pick up the puppy. Once I arrived Christy had everything together for me and explained everything in detail. I will say I did not expect the information I got! She made sure I was set up for success.     Christy was incredibly kind and flexible with me. She took care of every detail and was a breeze to work with in every way. She even made a special trip to the vet because we were traveling to Canada and we needed a special form signed. She is a marvelous person in every way. Her husband Steve brought the puppy to the airport and he was wonderful too. They are great team. Our new puppy is doing great in every way. You can tell that he was well socialized and handled before he left Christy. He is confident and best friends with our older dog Teddy. They are curled up together right now. Teddy is 80 pounds to Sylvius’ 10. They play together and sleep together. He has already become a loved member of our family. We have enjoyed watching his antics as he plays and his toilet training is going very well. I highly highly recommend Christy and Winding Creek Ranch. You are in very very good hands with Christy!
