I'm ASHLEY E., the breeder behind Windmill GSD and Cardigan Welsh Corgis located in Cumby, TX. Follow on FB! We breed for ourselves first, which means we are breeding to keep first pick so we can have our next dog. We have had German Shepherds for 30 year's and bred 20+ GSD Champions. We have been in Cardigans for 12 years, breeding quality Cardigans. Our dogs are family and born in our home. We have bred over 65 AKC Champions.
Q. & A. with ASHLEY
Why did you start breeding?
My mother started our breeding in 1993 and I grew up breeding with my mom and showing with her.
What makes your program special?
We breed first and foremost for ourselves. We strive to breed healthy and quality dogs. We want at least 1 parent to be an AKC champion when we breed. We do all required health tests for our breeds.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include red and white, blue merle and white, brindle and white, and black and white. German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
