I'm Seth, the breeder behind Windsor Pugs located in Davis Junction, IL. Life without a pug is possible, but meaningless.
Q. & A. with Seth
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding in 2010 after getting our first pug, we absolutely love the breed, their quirky personalities are like no other dogs. We mentored with a retiring breeder for a few years wile we acquired our first breeding dogs, then once we were comfortable we branched on our own. Our mentor is still very involved with our program.
What makes your program special?
We currently test all of our prospective moms for PDE, PLL, PK DEF, and DM. We will only breed Pugs that have the lowest susceptibility markers for any of these diseases. These tests are a fantastic tool, only made possible by the research paid for by PDCA's Pug Health Fund and the AKC's Canine Health Foundation. We also do Ofa testing, cardiac, eye testing for all of our breeding dogs. We strive to produce healthy puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
