I'm Cathy K., the breeder behind Winter Creek Labradors located in Holly Springs, NC. With amazing "on/off" switches, our parent dogs are calm, indoor family pets that have incredible drive and love for play. We have seen these same attributes mirrored in their pups. Coupled with health and genetic testing, our pups will be a long lived, happy family member.
Q. & A. with Cathy
Why did you start breeding?
We've always had rescue labs. When we got our first pure bred lab (for our daughter,) we were amazed at the difference good genes could make. We wanted one of her pups. Two years of "homework/research" later and her pup we kept was even smarter! Hearing the heartbreaking issues with poor bred pups and some rescues, we wanted others to know the joy of having a long, healthy life with a puppy.
What makes your program special?
We are extremely hands on from before birth to the day they go home. They get 24hr care. We get a little sleep deprived but watching these puppies grow and develop is incredible. They are too precious to leave alone and take chances.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Cinder
Cinder is the smartest dog we have ever had. Coming from Master Hunter lines, she has drive and focus. Very playful, protective, and will kill for a thrown ball. She also has an incredible "off" switch. Her pups have all been very smart, playful dogs.
Indy, mom

About Indy
Indy's grace & athleticism is a joy to watch. Loves to chase a ball and get scratches! Always happy, very obedient, she is a sweetheart. Silver (Indy) Independence is not afraid of anything, fine to be alone but loves attention.
Skye, mom
Labrador Retriever
About Skye
Skye is the calmest Lab you will ever meet. From champion show lines, she comes with a beautiful coat and shape, and chill demeanor. Loves to chase her sister around the yard but would rather come in and get belly rubs. Smart and loves to have a job (she picks up all the food dishes for us.) Her pups have all been playful but calmer than other litters.
Aspen, mom
