I'm Kathleen P., the breeder behind Winterberry Collies located in Connecticut. My daughter Kia and I are the breeders of Winterberry Collies. Our dogs are health tested, their results can be found on OFA. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Dermatomyositis, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
