I'm Christina C., the breeder behind Wisteria Grove Dachshunds located in Skipperville, AL. We offer beautiful pre-loved puppies with fantastic temperaments. Miniature Dachshunds are like potato chips, you can't have just one! All puppies are raised in home.
Q. & A. with Christina
Why did you start breeding?
We started in rescue back in about 2010, fostering pregnant dogs and that's how we got experienced with whelping. We started our own breeding program to reduce the issues we was in poorly bred dogs who seemed to be riddled with problems.
I bred & exhibited American Bullies under ABKC from 2012 to 2023, and have since phased out of that breed and into Dachshunds instead.
What makes your program special?
We utilize Puppy Culture when raising our puppies. This creates very socialized and desensitized puppies that are well adjusted to the every day sights, sounds, and new challenges involved in their new homes. They are started on potty training and have been introduced to clicker training as well. We do everything we can to create well rounded, healthy and happy babies for our new families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), black and cream, black and tan, blue and cream, blue and tan, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, gray (blue) and cream, gray (blue) and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
