I'm Christine B., the breeder behind Witzend Pinschers located in Columbiana County, OH. Our program is dedicated to only breeding dogs that we know are exemplary representations of the standard and will make a positive contribution to their line and to the families who love them. We care deeply about our dogs and puppies, and we want only the best for them and for our buyers.
Q. & A. with Christine
Why did you start breeding?
I am 3rd generation of my family to raise and show dogs. My grandfather, mother, now myself and my sister are still actively involved.
What makes your program special?
We breed only quality dogs that have been shown and most often have multiple titles with both AKC and UKC that show we have well bred dogs that fit withing the breed standard. We breed only occasionally as our main focus is on showing/titling our breeding stock to prove their quality prior to being used for breeding. We do not breed to make an income, we work to make money to spend on our hobby, lol.
We also health test our dogs. Not just swabs in a lab, but physically seen by specialized vets to rule out things like patellar luxation, heart defects, inherited eye diseases, etc.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate and rust, black and tan, black and rust, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
