I'm Jennyse V., the breeder behind Wonder Weenies located in Salem, OR. Wonder Weenies is a family-based program in Salem, Oregon, raising AKC-registered miniature dachshunds. We focus on health, socialization, and proper temperament from day one. Our dogs are beloved family members first, and we’re dedicated to connecting you with the perfect wiener dog for your home.

Why did you start breeding?
It started with one dachshund (doesn’t it always?)—and quickly became a love affair with the breed’s personality, loyalty, and hilarity. After helping a friend’s breeding program, we got hooked on raising happy, healthy pups. Now we proudly raise and whelp our own litters with the same care.What makes your program special?
Wonder Weenies is ALL about health, temperament, and raising pups ready to thrive in family life. Every puppy is raised in our home with love, socialization, and early training. We believe in transparency, lifelong breeder support, and only breeding dogs who meet the highest health standards.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Jennyse has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC registration, health guarantee, vet exam, first vaccines, deworming, go-home goodie bag, and lifetime breeder support. Pups are well-socialized and raised in-home. A $300 non-refundable deposit secures your spot. Applies toward total cost. All puppies are priced by pet-only contract; full AKC registration may be available for select homes.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Lacey
Lacey is our gentle, dot-loving black and tan piebald girl with the sweetest “I knew you’d come back for snuggles” eyes you’ve ever seen. She has a calm, affectionate temperament and believes her full-time job is keeping her humans in one place long enough to love on them. Lacey is confident, people-oriented, and naturally nurturing. She raises her babies right under our feet in our home, not a kennel, and she passes on her mellow, affectionate nature to her puppies. She’s the kind of dog who will curl up next to you during movie nights, but also trot around the yard like she’s on neighborhood patrol duty. Curious, loyal, and always ready for a belly rub, Lacey is the definition of a loyal family companion. Her pups tend to be sweet-natured little shadow dogs who want to be part of everything you're doing (yes, including bathroom trips… dachshunds don’t “believe” in privacy).

About Missy
Missy is a firecracker in a tiny package—loud, loving, playful, and endlessly affectionate. She’s got energy for days and thrives on attention (yes, she will follow you into the bathroom without shame). Whether she’s wrestling with her besties or demanding belly rubs, she brings the party wherever she goes. Missy is AKC registered, and comes from health-tested lines. Her pups are raised with love, snuggles, and just the right amount of sass—just like their mama.

Harley is a female Dachshund. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jennyse decided to make her part of their program. Jennyse has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Jennyse has been responsive to my inquiries, provided pictures and videos when requested in addition to her regular posting, and set me up with a small puppy bag of goodies to get Poncho set up. I have a King Shepherd, Ukiah, and was concerned the puppy might be afraid. That has not been the case. While he is cautious, he is by no means afraid and does try to interact with Ukiah. This puppy is well socialized with people and other animals which was very important to me. A timid animal in my home would not be a good match. I am very pleased with this little guy and looking forward to the future fun to be had.
