I'm Alicia J., the breeder behind Woodland Doxies located in Granger, IN. Our breeding pair have been carefully selected and DNA tested to ensure the best health possible for their puppies. We start early neurological stimulation exercises and early scent introduction day 3-16. Crate training starts at 7 weeks. Weeks 8-9 are when puppies learn their "puppy manners" from their litter mates.
Q. & A. with Alicia
Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with this breed! Once we purchased our first dachshund, we were hooked! We absolutely love this breed. They are smart, loving, stubborn, and full of life! We strive to provide the best puppies for our new families! Our mission is empowering puppies, caring for every paw print, and unleashing joy every puppy at a time.
What makes your program special?
This puppy curriculum is unique. We purchased this curriculum from a well-known breeder that specializes in service dogs. As we implement early neurological stimulation, early scent introduction, socializing, handling, crate training, and exposure exercises on specific weeks, our families on our waitlist will receive a link to the pictures and videos of the puppies going through the curriculum.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, sable, red, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Our experience with Alicia exceeded our expectations! You can tell she puts her heart and soul into her dogs and it really shows! Birdie (formerly Magnolia) is seriously the best little lady with the best temperament, she’s super smart and loves to snuggle. We are over the moon in love and couldn’t have asked for a better breeder, thank you Alicia!
