I'm Rachel Y., the breeder behind Wrinkles Rare Newfoundlands located in Sugarcreek, OH. Because we genuinely love our dogs we take every possible step to raise the best puppies. Our dogs are healthy tested and OFA certified We find so much joy in watching our puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities.   • Why did you start breeding?

    We loved our dogs and wanted to step into the breeding world by sharing the best puppies possible. We slowly grew our program to include all we do today.

  • What makes your program special?

    We rarely breed each female more then once a year and retire them with dignity. OFA certified dogs where possible and genetic testing to so we stand out from the crowd. We aim to please and have everyone leave our home happy and confident in our program.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include white and black, white and brown, black, brown, and gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Rachel

Rachel has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All puppies are vet checked and come up to date on shots and wormer. We provide a 1 year genetic health guarantee with the use of Nuvet vitamins. They also get a bag of food, a blanket that smells like Mama, their family tree paper and health records. We offer puppy packs that include a crate, beds, towels, leashes, shampoo bedding ect in a variety of colors as well. Deposit is nonrefundable unless you have a family emergency or something else happens that is beyond your control. We send confirmation texts for both our records when we get a deposit.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We have had Lemmy (formerly Beastly Boy) now for nearly 3 weeks. We just completed his vet visit and outside of a UTI which is common for puppies he is in perfect health. He is slowing integrating into the house with our other Newfy and he begins training this weekend. Rachel is a very good breeder and Lemmy is a picture of good genetics and health so far. I would recommend her if you are looking to add a Newfy to your home.

    We were searching for a Newfoundland specifically. We made contact with several with red flags flying! We found Good Dog and couldn’t be more pleased. They showed us breeders.     We're so happy with our new puppy Atlas (formerly Samuel), you can really tell that they love and care about their pups throughout the whole process. Rachel kept us informed and sent periodic pictures and videos while we waited for him to come home, as well as being able to answer any questions we had along the way. We also loved the option to have him flown to us, as we live in the Rocky Mountain region. I highly suggest using Rachel to add a new fluff ball as a member of family!

    Sadie really took to me very fast. The whole 2.5 hour drive back home, she was resting her head on my hand, looking at me with very soulful eyes.
