Meet the breeder

I'm Beth B., the breeder behind Yashanti Kennels located in Beverly Hills, FL. The Whippet balances athleticism and elegance, strength and sensitivity, independence and devotion. At Yashanti, generations of Whippets have enriched our lives. We cherish their effortless grace in motion, quiet companionship, and unique personalities that make sharing life with Whippets a joy.

Q. & A. with Beth

  • Why did you start breeding?

With the guidance of wonderful mentors, we began breeding to preserve and promote the pepper-and-salt Giant Schnauzer. Years later, as our daughters became interested in showing dogs, we discovered Whippets through friends. Giants and Irish Wolfhounds were simply too large for young handlers, and Whippets proved a perfect fit. What began as an opportunity for our daughters grew into a lasting love for this remarkable breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Temperament and consistency are the foundation of Yashanti. Our puppies are raised as beloved members of our household, learning everyday sounds, manners, and outdoor routines through gentle guidance. In Florida, we also introduce swimming and pool safety. Our Whippets come from healthy, long-lived bloodlines, reflecting our commitment to soundness, longevity, and exceptional companions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and sable, white and black, fawn, red, fawn brindle, blue fawn, black brindle, blue brindle, and white and red brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
