I'm Samantha D., the breeder behind Zara Tibetan Terriers located in Lane County, OR. We are in-home breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, smart, quality puppies into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We have 4 children at home who help socialize every puppy and have been breeding family-friendly puppies for 20 years.
Q. & A. with Samantha
Why did you start breeding?
Give me a call and ask :) My story is very unique. My reason and my purpose is VASTLY different than other breeders. I'd love to share it with you!
What makes your program special?
Having my children in my home to socialize my puppies sets me apart from most Tibetan breeders. Having our puppies raised daily with children really makes a big difference for families who also have kids. The transition is so much easier on the puppy going from one home with kids to another. My puppies love children! We take responsible breeding very seriously. As breeders, we are stewards of the future of the breed, so we are careful to always have ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising our puppies with proper socialization.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
