I'm Hannah C., the breeder behind Ze Zadnich lesu located in Beech Grove, AR.
Q. & A. with Hannah
Why did you start breeding?
With over a decade of experience, my passion for dog breeding was shaped by growing up in a family that bred various working breeds, including Beagles, Labradors, and Coonhounds. In 2013, I acquired my first German Shepherd, which sparked a deep love for the breed and ultimately inspired the foundation of my own breeding program. Today, I specialize in full working line German Shepherds, with a focus on producing high-drive dogs suited for protection, sport, and active working homes. In addition to breeding, I actively train in obedience, tracking, and protection, working toward titles such as BH and IGP. Over the past year, I have expanded into AKC dog sports including Trick Dog, Dock Diving, CGC, FCAT, and Barn Hunt. Our puppies are raised in a highly enriched environment and are carefully imprinted and desensitized from birth. They are socialized with other dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and young children to ensure they grow into confident, well-adjusted working partners
What makes your program special?
What sets my breeding program apart is the intentional balance of passion, purpose, and proven working ability. With over 10 years of experience and a lifetime of exposure to breeding through my family, I bring both knowledge and dedication to preserving and advancing the working line German Shepherd. Each litter is carefully planned with a focus on temperament, drive, structure, and genetic soundness. All breeding dogs undergo thorough, breed-specific health testing—including OFA evaluations—to ensure we are producing strong, healthy dogs capable of thriving in demanding environments. From birth, our puppies are thoughtfully imprinted, desensitized, and raised in a dynamic setting with exposure to children, livestock, and daily life challenges. Our goal is to produce confident, high-drive working dogs who are prepared for success in sport, protection, and service roles. This level of care, training, and purpose-driven breeding truly defines the quality and integrity of our program.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Ze Zadnich lesu reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
