Meet the breeder

I'm Shirley V., the breeder behind Zion Meadow Farm located in Alton, MO. Our dogs come from a long line of healthy, intelligent, driven, dogs with great structure. They do need their owner to be the one to calmly set the rules or they will make them up for themselves. The relationship between owner and dog can be intense but they look to please you. If you let them set the rules even while they're very young, it can be hard to change their mind. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home.

Q. & A. with Shirley

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had a desire to study and learn about the best practices of breeding and this inspired me to start my own program. I wanted to breed top-quality dogs for loving families. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed healthy, beautiful puppies. I take my job seriously, knowing that my puppies will become someone's beloved pet. Each puppy is considered a member of my family, and I ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
