​​You have many options when it comes to deciding how to bring your new pup home. We recommend working directly with your breeder to determine which transportation option will work best for you, your breeder, and your pup.

Pick up your pup
Pick up at your breeder’s home
Work with your breeder to arrange a date and time for you to pick up your pup at their home. You’ll cover your travel costs. Learn how to drive safely with your pup

Meet your breeder halfway
Work with your breeder to choose a location you can both travel to. Your breeder and your pup will meet you there. You’ll cover your travel costs. Learn how to drive safely with your pup

Meet at an airport near your breeder
Travel to meet your breeder at an airport near them. Your breeder and your pup will meet you there and you’ll fly back home with your pup. You’ll cover your airfare (typically $200-$500) plus the airline fee for your pup ($95-$150). Learn how to fly safely with your pup

Get your pup dropped off
Get your pup driven to you by a transporter
Work with your breeder and an experienced, reputable transporter to have your pup driven to your home. Ground transportation may cost $300 - $1,000 depending on your location. How to find a trusted transporter

Fly your pup home via pet-safe air cargo
Work with your breeder to have your pup flown to an airport near you. Your pup will be in a safe cargo environment and you’ll pick them up at the airport. Pet-safe air cargo may cost $200-$500, depending on your location and airline. Learn more about pet-safe air cargo

Fly your pup home with a flight nanny
Work with your breeder to find a chaperone to fly with your pup to an airport near you. Your flight nanny will help keep your pup safe and comfortable in the main cabin of the plane. A flight nanny may cost $600 - $900, depending on your location and airline. Learn how to work with a flight nanny
