I'm Clara M., the breeder behind 10-BAR-Y RANCH located in Cedar City, UT. 10 Bar Y Ranch was created by the Morley family to help share their love for animals and fulfill a life long dream. Rich and Audra Morley have always loved working hard and living the country lifestyle. For many years they have dreamed of owning and operating a family ranch, although their dream has changed over the years the core has always been centered around God, family, and Country.
Q. & A. with Clara
Why did you start breeding?
When Rich and Audra got married they welcomed a dog into their family for a companion and to teach their children responsibility. Of all the different breeds we've owned, Aussies have been our favorite and fit our lifestyle best. We partnered on our first registered Aussies with some breeder friends of ours, they helped us get started breeding. We've moved and started a program of our own.
What makes your program special?
Our pups are family raised and handled from the moment they are born. When you buy a pup from us you buy lifetime support and instantly become a member of the family. We only breed AKC/ASCA registered pups and strive to preserve the breed. They are genetically tested and come from great stock. They are raised on a farm. Our children and livestock assist in the socialization of our pups.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Missy, mom
Australian Shepherd
About Missy
Missy is our sweetheart! She’s such a good family dog and mother and protective of her people! Shes a smaller dog but don’t let that fool you- Shes as tough of a worker as they come. She reads situations well and adopts. She’s past that to her pups. She’s got pups all over the country on working farms and ranch’s along with pups in strictly family/companion homes. They know their job and they do it well. They know they’re families and they love them. Those that have a Missy pup LOVE THEM! One of her pups is in Texas with a family. I got an update the end of last week on him. She said, “ Beau is doing good he does not know he is a dog he sleeps with us every night and lays on his back with his head on the pillow like a human. Rides the 4-wheeler and can pen a set of cows he is amazing.” They’re the sweetest and the best dogs. They read their environment and they adopt super well! Missy is a great preservation of the Australian Shepherd breed. She’s smart, versatile, carries old foundation breeding, she’ll work a full day without giving up, but she’ll lay out on the grass with you too, she’s as loyal as they come, and lives to please you. She’s a true Aussie and you definitely won’t be upset with a Missy x Ben pup!
Josie, mom
Australian Shepherd
About Josie
Josie came to our ranch a year ago from North Carolina! She has her started stock dogs titles with the ASCA. Josie is our energize bunny. She loves life and is always happy! She does excellent with animals and other dogs. She works cattle and other livestock on our home base. She has natural sense and ability but also is training up to do well with commands on the livestock. She's teaching us lots about when to use a command and when to let the dog do what's best. We're learning that sometimes we think we know best and micromanage dogs when in reality they often times read an animal and situations better than we do. This is Josie's first litter and we're thrilled to see how they come along! We'll be keeping a couple pups from this litter to add to our working line up. We're looking for a couple different homes to place her pups in to see what they're made of. If you're interested in agility, stock dog trialing or ranch work, rally, obedience etc... reach out to us about a Josie pup. We'd love to work with you!
Ben, dad
Australian Shepherd
About Ben
Ben comes from the renowned Boyd Ranch. He boasts the kennel names of some of the most influential Australian Shepherds in the history of the breed. He's got old school breeding and in our opinion represents a true Aussie and what the breed was founded on. He's as loyal as they come, he has a deep desire to please- literally born to please, he's got natural sense and ability on livestock (and a key member of our ranch), he reads his environment like a pro and is super adaptable, he's gritty and tough on cattle but kind and gentle with his people... we could go on and on about Ben! He's truly the best dog! His pups are excelling on ranches and farms across the United States AND as companion and family dogs! They are the best adventure buddies and a persons BEST FRIEND.
