I'm Travis R., the breeder behind 4Ransom Ranch located in Lewis, IA. Hello we’re a small Iowa family that loves border collies. We started in 2021 with a herding dam. Now we have expanded into the show world. We own the one and only sable grand champion Happenstance break the bank (wage). OFA’s and extensive health testing are done.

Why did you start breeding?
My father in law breeding champion field trial labs.What makes your program special?
It’s a family program. Our kids help my wife and I out a lot. As well as my brother and close friends. Everyone loves our dogs and likes to help. We have invested in amazing bloodlines and it shows off.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-color, black and white, sable, and white and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

“Puppies will come fully caught up on vaccines, vet checked, AKC registration, parents are DNA tested and hips/elbows/eyes checked, copy of pedigree, puppy starter kit, custom 4ransom blanket and full history of bloodline. Deposit or if puppies are available just show up.”

Billie is the heart and soul of our family and house. She is everyone’s favorite dog. Is very smart and loves to play fetch. She is the perfect mixture of energy and calmness. She loves to cuddle as much as she loves to play fetch. Best mother we have ever had she is a winner.

About Wage
Wage is the one and only sable grand champion EVER. He has sired puppies all over the world. He only carries GG and OFA’s were redone 1.5 years ago and still good. He has an amazing temperament. Barely barks and is the heart and soul of our program.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
