Emily P.

Breeder of Australian Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Emily P., the breeder behind 7P Aussies located in Missouri. Here at 7P Aussies, our dogs are bred to be biddable, loyal, athletic, and conformationally correct according to breed standards of the ASCA and AKC regulations. Our dogs are working bred to gain the next level of biddability. They are willing to do a job, an agility competition, and to be a great companion. The puppies are out of Working Trial Champion and Hall of Fame foundation type lineage. They will be loyal, biddable, protective, smart, athletic, and beautiful. We strive to produce the best true aussie we are able and to leave the breed better than when we started. Our dogs are family dogs first but do have working jobs on our farm. Pups will come socialized to children of all ages, cows, sheep, chickens, horses, and other dogs. They will be up to date on all vaccines and dewormings. They will come microchipped and be health checked by our veterinarian. We will also send them to their forever homes with a puppy starter pack, registration application papers, and potty training resources as they will start potty training at 3 weeks of age. Parents are genetically clear and have excellent scores on their OFAs. Please, visit our Facebook page, 7P Aussies, to keep up with these sweet pups and to contact us with any questions!

Q. & A. with Emily

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started breeding Australian Shepherds in 2018. We have had different breeds of working dogs in the past and none of them settled with our family like the Aussies have. Before breeding we knew we wanted the real deal, working lines of Australian Shepherds. We want to better the breed for what they are truly meant to do. We did two years of research before we found the genetics, disposition, and color combination we were after. Our dogs will go all day if you ask them to or curl up in the chair next to our feet. Their temperament and disposition may be to work and have a job, but they come with a quick off switch, which makes life enjoyable for the dog and owner. They are willing and loyal.
  • What makes your program special?

We pour our heart into our program. We have three dogs in total that are part of our family first. When researching what registry and pedigree we wanted the characteristics of good tempered, biddable, willing, loving, and loyal came to mind. Two years of searching paid off and we found just that. We continue to learn and try to produce pets that fit into any family dynamic but that are true to the origination of the Australian Shepherd.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
