I'm John H., the breeder behind A&J Kennel located in Howe, IN. At A&J Kennel, we are a family-run program dedicated to raising high-quality Cocker Spaniels with love, care, and purpose. Our puppies socialized from birth with children and other dogs to develop confident, well-rounded temperaments. We are committed to giving every puppy the best start in life. They are introduced to litter box training early and come up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and are thoroughly vet checked before joining their new families.Our passion for Cocker Spaniels goes far beyond breeding it’s part of who we are. We are dedicated to raising healthy, beautiful puppies while supporting the families who welcome them. We offer ongoing breeder support and are always here as a lifelong resource.At A&J Kennel, we don’t just raise puppies we raise lifelong companions.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, John partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Program update on 05 Aug •…🐾 Our Newest Litter Has Arrived! 🐾 We are so excited to officially announce that our newest litter has been born! ❤️ Mom and babies are doing wonderful. At this time, we are allowing the puppies a few days to rest, nurse, and grow. Individual pictures and puppy descriptions will be posted once the puppies are 5 days old. This helps ensure they’re settled and gives us time to capture the best photos of each little one. We couldn’t wait to share the exciting news with everyone, so we wanted to announce the litter now! Stay tuned—more updates, individual puppy photos, and descriptions will be coming soon. Thank you all for your excitement and support! 🐶💕

John has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

A&J Kennel exceeded all of our hopes and expectations with our puppy. From day one, they were responsive continuously posting updates and pictures. Readily answering any and all questions, transparent, and even accommodating to pick up times. Most importantly, A&J shined when we received our puppy! It was apparent he was socialized, handled, loved. Potty training has gone smoothly due to the intentionality of the program! We received a well-loved, happy, friendly puppy. Highly recommend!

Working with A and J Kennel has been such a joy. They are so responsive and send videos and pictures which really helped us get to know our puppy and by the time we held him we felt like he had been “ours” for a few weeks. The puppy is healthy and happy- we live in Florida and getting the puppy delivered was so exciting. The girls who brought him were kind and loving- made it easier for puppy to adjust to our family. All in all our next puppy is certainly coming from A and J Kennel! 5 stars all the way!!!!
