Meet the breeder

I'm Travis H., the breeder behind Alpine Acres Poodles located in Alpine, AL. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Q. & A. with Travis

  • Why did you start breeding?

We began breeding standard poodles in 2016 because we fell in love with the breed. The total package of brains, beauty, loyalty, and intuitiveness sold us! My wife bred very nice Labrador Retrievers in the 1990’s to early 2000’s, so she was somewhat familiar with the breeding aspect.
  • What makes your program special?

We care about our dogs, and we care about our dog families!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

They were lovely I couldn’t have ask for more communication and guidance through the whole process especially since I was new to good dog. Mylo was just a great addition to our family and was like a missing part that finally completed what we’ve been missing. Thank you sabrina and Travis.

Sabrina kept in touch with us through text message on our trip up there, she had Kaya all set to go. She gave us a little tote bag with some essentials in it... some of the kibble she'd been eating, a pee pad, a wad of paper towels (which I was very grateful for since Kaya got carsick!) and she also had papers for her including her immunization records. Sabrina was so nice! I also got to meet Kaya's dad, he was a lovely standard poodle. She is happy to keep in touch with us, which to me is the mark of a good breeder!!
