Meet the breeder

I'm Rachel S., the breeder behind Anchor Dogs located in Pleasant View, UT. Puppies are born & raised in our home aside our family. Every puppy is a part the family, until they join yours. We present over 17+ years of professional breeding & training. Our STRICT criteria consist of: Health, Temperament, Genetics, Confirmation, Physical Appearance, Coat colors & Quality.

Q. & A. with Rachel

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a young girl , my parents were breeders of our family pet , so I have been around dogs and raising puppies for over 30 years. From the time I wad 6yrs old, I wanted to be a professional dog trainer. Been grooming since I was 8. And been a pro trainer and breeder the past 17 years.
  • What makes your program special?

Being a professional, we only choose the best for our program , less than 5% of dogs will make the cut to be part of our program. We are very strict on all aspects that go into the perfect dog : temperament , trainability, health & a remarkable appearance. Aside from responsible breeding , our pups have the best start to life possible, they are worked by professionals. To insure the best start.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

I would 1000% recommend getting dogs from Anchor dogs. The pups are not only gorgeous, but super healthy and good natured. Rachel was incredibly helpful and super fast to respond throughout the whole process. We FaceTime to meet our dog before making our decision, and she helps us arranged everything food, vet, transportation, insurance, etc. Rachel and her family care so much about the dogs they raise and they are always happy to help with any questions one may have. So happy we made the decision to get our boy from Anchor dogs.

Rachel was so great to work with! Never having purchased from a breeder before I didn’t know what to expect. She walked us through the entire process from the beginning. Being out of town my daughter and I wanted to see how the babies were taken care of and I couldn’t have ask for a better situation that her puppies are cared for. She was the only little girl out of 5 puppies so I was glad I made my decision to reserve my request early. Bailey is our 2nd yorkiepoo and she couldn’t be sweeter. Thank you again Anchor Dogs and Rachel. Rusty & Kathy Lewis. Idaho
