I'm Myrtle M., the breeder behind Annabelle's Wish Chihuahua's located in Chapin, SC. I believe taking a puppy away from its mother at the tender age of 8 weeks is emotionally & developmentally damaging to Chihuahuas. I keep my puppies with mom & dad until 12-16 weeks or longer. I potty pad/litter box train them & start teaching basic commands. I offer lifetime support to my parents!
Q. & A. with Myrtle
Why did you start breeding?
I've breed a few different breeds over 28 years. Just for the love of dog's and the joy of uniting a good dog with someone seeking a lifetime companion. My love for Chi's started in 05' after I fostered my 1st Chi. I never knew how deep their little personalities really were until adopting Annabelle in 10' I never imagined she would become my soulmate. Cancer took her in 22'. I breed in her memory
What makes your program special?
I only breed 1 litter a year. The puppies are hand raised in my home. As soon as they start to walk I spend 2 hours a day with each puppy individually in multiple settings. I get to know each puppy's individual personality. That helps me place them in the right homes. I do not take them from their mother at just 8 weeks old. They stay with mom 12-16 weeks until I know they are truly ready to go.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red, fawn brindled black, cream and white, black and white, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
