I'm Brent W., the breeder behind Artisan Retrievers located in Sommerville, TX. I'm new breeder starting a small program. I hope to help provide families with quality puppies as I continue to learn & grow! My love for retrievers sparked my interest to start sharing puppies with families wanting both the perfect pet and a reliable working dog. I'M dedicated to preserving the breed standard and natural abilities of these amazing dogs.
Q. & A. with Brent
Why did you start breeding?
I've trained and bred retrievers since I was 15 and went to my first job at a veterinary clinic. There I met my still good friend Mary Tatum DVM of Watermark Retrievers. Through the years I've continued my quest to learn the best ways to train and raise retrievers
What makes your program special?
My background in veterinary medicine allowed me to see the good and bad aspects of breeding program where I have applied that knowledge to avoid some pitfall for my business and clients alike
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
