I'm Lynn A., the breeder behind Ashcraft's Boykin Spaniels located in Dublin, GA. I specialize in breeding Boykin Spaniels. I’m a BSS member and have had all of my dogs registered & health tested per BSS standards & recommendations. I work with 2 different trainers to ensure my dogs & the puppies going home have been well breed & socialized prior to leaving for their forever home.
Q. & A. with Lynn
Why did you start breeding?
After owning several Boykins with exceptional hunting & family characteristics I looked into the BSS breeding program. I currently own 3 dogs with notable pedigrees and have been very selective in breeding matches in order to have excellent litters to share with others
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Excellent level
Ashcraft's Boykin Spaniels reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boykin Spaniels.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
