Meet the breeder

I'm Alisa A., the breeder behind Atkinson's Goldens located in Buhl, ID. We offer happy, healthy golden retriever puppies from dark red to light golden. We focus on healthy breeding and LOVE what we do. Our dogs are bred for temperament and health. We raise our puppies as a part of our family. We offer the highest quality foods and provide our pups with extensive stimulation, socialization, and love.

Q. & A. with Alisa

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2012 one of our sons was obsessed with retrieving dogs and wanted to raise them. We read and studied and talked to other breeders. Eventually, we found and purchased a beautiful puppy. When she was old enough we had her bred to a handsome, healthy sire. The joy of having and raising those puppies changed us forever. We were hooked. Puppies have become a way of life for us.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program unique is our core values: Stewardship - We do what is right for the dog -always! Bettering the Breed – We breed with a focus on health, personality, and traits (in that order). Service – We strive to treat our new puppy families like the lifelong friends we hope they will become. Integrity – We are committed to doing the right thing, even when no one is looking.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
