Meet the breeder

I'm Stacey W., the breeder behind Australian Shepherds of 3/W Farms located in Troy, SC. We are very passionate about our program and want to set you up for a healthy pup and adult dog. It all begins in the careful selection of studying our adult dogs temperament, lineage and genetic health testing and confirmation before even breeding them and our success shows through our pups!

Q. & A. with Stacey

  • Why did you start breeding?

Both my Husband and I were raised on a Farm with Aussies and we meet at a horse show through our Aussies. When we got married we continued to raise them and now our Daughter and Son-In-Law have built their home on our Farm and share the same passion. Aussies are just an incredible breed and as long as we have been in it they never cease to amaze us, the most loyal, loving devoted breed ever!
  • What makes your program special?

Our animals are like family to us. They get top of the line care such as free choice of Purina Pro Plan, baths, personal time, and lots of love. We enjoy letting our dogs work with us on the farm, travel, and camp at horse shows. Our dams get supplemented pre and post pregnancy on a daily basis and retired at an early age of 4. It is important to us to give back to our animals!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Australian Shepherd puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Stacey is so amazing!! This was my first time working with a breeder and Stacey was super communicative, informative, and reassuring. After all the questions, Stacey was so kind to send update pictures and videos! Our Smokey came with such a helpful “get started” kit with food, treats, toys and more. Their breeder site also has all the recommendations and links for everything you may need which is super helpful for me (probiotics, treats, bells etc etc). Even after gotcha day, Stacey has continued to answer questions and stay in touch.

Stacey from beginning to end was great. I absolutely recommend her and as an individual she is very genuine, wanting to make sure you pick the best pup for your fit. Where this review really shines is her dogs! Before getting an Aussie, I had a lot of anxiety due to online readings and anecdotal stories from ‘out of control’ Aussies. I have now had my Moosh for a couple of weeks, and he has been the EASIEST puppy/breed I have ever had. He has the sweetest demeanor and just wants to be by your side and love you. Within a day or two he was fully potty trained, he never whines when in his crate at night, and already knows a handful of tricks at just 10 weeks old. With the proper amount of mental stimulation and exercise/zoomies, he then just wants to snuggle beside me and relax. With not having to worry about him peeing indoors, getting into things he shouldn’t, and the fact he is a true velcro/companion dog his puppy hood has been so much less stressful and worrying than other breeds I have had in the past. Such a smart, loyal, and loving guy! It is very clear he comes from a very strong and healthy lineage. If you are looking for an Australian shepherd puppy, without question I would go with 3/W farms

Stacey has been absolutely incredible to work with. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to ensure our puppy was healthy, happy, and well taken care of. She kept us updated with constant pictures and videos, which made the wait so much easier. She even helped us arrange a wonderful flight nanny to safely bring our puppy all the way from North Carolina to California. When our puppy arrived, Stacey continued to be just as supportive—patiently answering all our questions and offering reassurance during those first few nervous days. She provided us with an incredibly organized portfolio containing all his exams, vaccination records, detailed notes on every single medication, and other important information. It’s clear Stacey truly loves and cares for her dogs, and she made the entire process joyful and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful for the love and dedication she’s shown to both our puppy and us.

Our two boys have been asking for a dog of their own for years, and this fall we were finally ready to welcome one into our family. My husband and I knew we wanted an Australian Shepherd from a reputable breeder—someone who could match us with a confident, well-socialized puppy and who would remain supportive even after we brought our dog home. Stacey at 3/W Farms was exactly that and more. We found a litter online and reached out to Stacey with several questions. She responded quickly, learned about our family and the traits we were hoping for, and sent plenty of photos and videos (even offering video calls) to help us choose the right puppy. Although we had never selected a puppy without meeting it in person, Stacey made the entire process comfortable and reassuring. When “Bonnie” arrived in October, 3/W Farms even drove her to our home so we could surprise our boys after school—it was a moment we’ll never forget. Since then, Bonnie has become an irreplaceable part of our family. She is sweet, gentle, incredibly smart, and eager to please. We’ve already enrolled her in obedience training and can’t wait to watch her grow and learn. Everywhere we go, people stop us to admire her beautiful coat and loving temperament. Most importantly, she has given our boys the magical “first dog” experience we hoped for. As our four-year-old said: “Having a dog is the life.” And from our seven-year-old: “My life is never going to be the same now that I have a dog.” We are truly grateful to Stacey and 3/W Farms for helping make this dream come true. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My husband and I drove 16 hours to pick up our puppy, Luna, from Stacey, and it was absolutely worth it. From the very beginning, Stacey impressed us with her professionalism and care. She provided us with a complete folder containing Luna’s shot records, microchip information, and breed details, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that all of Stacey’s puppies are raised with love and attention on her beautiful farm, where they grow up well-socialized and comfortable in their surroundings. Luna has been such a joy and the best dog we could have ever asked for. She is so smart, playful, and confident! Thank you, Stacey, for giving us such a wonderful addition to our family!
