Maltese have fantastic and unique personalities of their own to begin with, so I work to ensure that my pups are the happiest and most well-rounded as possible. Maltese become the most devoted family companions around!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started Avante Maltese in 1997 when I became inspired by breeders who became my role models for breeding Maltese. These breeders had their pups at the top of the show scene at the time, showing off how Maltese' elegance and how they make adorable canine companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    I believe that once anyone has owned a Maltese, they are hooked for life. Maltese are the most loving and devoted littles pups I have ever been around. My ultimate goal is to improve the breed and to make my puppies well-socialized, loving pets. I am dedicated to breeding not only healthy, but sound and long-lived AKC Maltese puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
