I'm Bruce and Betty J., the breeder behind Beaucerons of Tempete De Hope located in Sterling, IL. We live in Illinois about ninety miles west of Chicago. We love and adore our Beaucerons and cannot wait to share our story of how we became involved with the breed. We started off in 2017 looking for a companion to motive us into a more active lifestyle of hiking and travel. Now with four lovely ladies along with one exiting boy now in the mix. We hope that everyone could have a Beauceron in their home!

Why did you start breeding?
We are very passionate about dogs and responsible breeding practices thus why we are listed with Good Dog. As mentioned before, we offer three different champion pedigree lines of Beaucerons to choose from to meet your family's needs! Seeing the impact of this breed in peoples lives we knew we had to start breeding. The benefit of the Beauceron breed and blessing each owner receives is amazing.What makes your program special?
We take responsible breeding very seriously. As breeders, we are stewards of the future of the Beauceron, so we are careful to always maintain ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising our puppies with proper socialization. While these may seem like only words the long term and short term impact is very important to all.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Bruce and Betty
Bruce and Betty has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Bruce and Betty partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

“The price includes a health guarantee, AKC registration, first vaccinations, deworming, puppy culture weeks 1 through 10 at a minimum training, microchip, socialization and more. The deposit is the same for all puppies. All puppies are chosen and evaluated for the potential of doing well in the competition ring, working dog arena, or a rewarding and loving companion home.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Program update on 12 July 2025 •…So it’s official we are grand-pup-parents again! Petra and Soter litter 2025 arrived last night throughout the wee hours of the morning. The Lucky Number Seven arrived with 2 males & 5 females with all the dews, buttholes, pallets and truly amazing life and weights! Petra came through like an experienced momma and was perfect in every way over the 8 hour timespan. Day one to day two all gained and everyone is sleeping and squeaking including Betty and I. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
