I'm Heather M., the breeder behind Beauty of the beast located in Indianapolis, IN. I am a small hobby breeder. I have 5 Pomeranians. My main Pomeranian stud is a chocolate sable with bridles in his lineage. He is genetically clear. I have a Pomeranian due any day. It is her last litter. I have 2 more female Pomeranians.

Why did you start breeding?
As a young child I got my unconditional love from my dog her name was Trexi. When she got older I realized she had about another 5 years at the most in my life. I bred her for the purpose of keeping an offspring from her. I was young around 16. I then realized there's much more that goes into breeding and finally in my 30s I learned everything I needed to do to become a responsible breeder. You live and you learn. Everyone has to start from somewhere.What makes your program special?
I rely on akc and Iccf standards. I have bred and trained psychiatric service dogs for war veterans and I have volunteered with Animal care and control in Indianapolis many different rescues and non profits as well as those to help our immigrant Nieghbor's. As of right now I have a very small program due to wanting to invest in what matters like quality dogs and health testing.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate sable and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Heather
Heather has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Heather partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“The most important thing to me is that the client, their home, and the family as a whole is the best fit. At 6 week I will let clients come and look at the puppies and evaluate temperaments so that the puppy is also the best fit for the new family and type of home they might be going to. ”
Price
“The pricing depends on breeding rights. The dogs which were bred but I prefer selling to pet homes. If I sell to a breeder it would be one I already know and respect due to their ethics. If puppy is not paid off by agreed upon date I may refund half the deposit depending on the circumstances. I have often returned deposits if another buyer was already lined up waiting a hoping the original deposit payer fell through.”
