I'm Becca W., the breeder behind Becca's Shih Tzus located in Escondido, CA. Animals have always been my passion. They are amazing ability to love us unconditionally even on our worst days is enviable. For those of us that are lucky enough to have pets in our home at a long hour journey, we need to cherish them and be their voice.

Why did you start breeding?
Animal Husbandry has been has always been a passionate of mind. I am fascinated by the science of Genetics & creating the best quality version of specific breed.
What makes your program special?
My program may be small, but I have grown in my knowledge and ability to be clear with my direction and precise with my choices. I will always take a dog that started here to make sure that it has a loving home forever. I own my own home and have made accommodations to the indoors and outdoors, so that the socialization and Experiences for the animals are enjoyable and vast.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, cream and white, chocolate and tan, black and tan, liver, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Becca
Becca has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,400 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing includes vaccines, worming, socialization, veterinary appointments and health certificate for travel as needed, a puppy pack with litter, scented blanket, food, sample, toys and documents. A nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The remainder to be paid at the time of pick up. If that puppy is not purchased, the deposit is good for one year towards another puppy.”

CHEVY is a female Shih Tzu. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Becca decided to make her part of their program. Becca has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
