I'm Roberta M., the breeder behind Behive Doxies located in Riverdale, UT. We stive to produce the best, high quality dachshunds. We make sure our puppies are vaccinated, dewormed and microchiped prior to going to their new homes. We use the puppy culture guidlines to raise our pups.

Why did you start breeding?
My daughter, Nicura Thompson is a breeder and I have learned so much from her. She breeds dashounds. She heas helped mentor me through the years. I absolutly adore doxies.
What makes your program special?
We take pride in producing beautiful healthy puppies with great structure and wonderful temperments.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, sable, cream, red, wild boar, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, wild boar and tan, black and cream, black and tan, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, wild boar and cream, wheaten, blue and cream, blue and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, gray (blue) and cream, gray (blue) and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Roberta has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes the first set of shots, deworming, and microchip as well as AKC papers for the AKC litters. Our deposits are non refundable. They can be put towards a future litter if an issue comes up.”

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you
both have a clear understanding of the terms of your

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
