I'm Shayla B., the breeder behind Beirin Breige Shih Tzus located in Middle Grove, NY. Beirin Breige Shih Tzus are bred with intention. Each Tzu puppy produced meets high standards of health, style, type, personality and color I will always strive to achieve. Bettering and furthering this fierce, wild little breed is extremely important to me. 🐾🐾.

Why did you start breeding?
Have you ever MET a Shih Tzu?! Not only are they absolutely adorable, but they are such smart, personable and loving little dogs! As an Animal Science major who specialized in genetics, pairing and producing quality Tzus just naturally seemed to be right for me. I am very proud to produce absolutely gorgeous Tzus with fabulous temperaments, beautiful colors and correct conformation. 🐾🐾What makes your program special?
Beirin Breige specializes in those hard to come by colors, including solid black, blue, & lavender. I also produce red, red & white, gold, brindle, etc. Bettering and furthering the Shih Tzu breed is extremely important to me. All my Tzus are DNA health tested to ensure only healthy, sound puppies are produced. As I only produce breed standard sizes, my puppies mature at between 9-13+ lbs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include lilac, tricolor, sable, chocolate, black, liver, blue, gold, red, gold and white, brindle and white, blue and white, white, black and white, red and white, liver and white, black gold and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

We brought home Daisy Jane a little over a month ago. So glad we found Shayla on Good Dog! From the moment Shayla put her in our arms, Daisy Jane has been a loving, affectionate and incredibly well-socialized puppy. She has never met a person or dog or cat she hasn't liked (our own cats are warming up to her more slowly than the instant it took for her to love them). Also, our vet told us she has none of the congenital defects that a Shih Tzu can have --- she is a healthy, happy puppy and we love her! Would highly recommend a Shih Tzu from Shayla.

I originally had contacted Shayla about a puppy I was interested in but I did not leave a deposit and subsequently there was a lapse in time and that puppy was reserved . I then inquired about another puppy equally adorable and immediately secured that puppy . Shayla was excellent to work with , knowledgeable, understanding and always available to answer any questions. I’m so happy and grateful that my Rocco came from such a wonderful breeder .
