I'm Lacy S., the breeder behind Bell S Ranch located in Hotchkiss, CO. Bell S Ranch corgis are trained to get along with humans, cats, horses, chickens and sheep, we find Corgi's have retained their herding heritage and love everything around them and love to help their humans. Puppies are socialized with friends, family and neighbors so they learn to love people.
Q. & A. with Lacy
Why did you start breeding?
We acquired a corgi puppy named "Shorty" in 2017, who is the best little dog we have ever had. Shorty has trained us (& several friends and neighbors) to believe that we are his personal favorite person and has thus manipulated us into becoming corgiholics. We truly cannot get enough of these special dogs - they have the best personalities!
What makes your program special?
We raise working corgis that are trainable, calm, smart and athletic. Clients report our puppies make excellent pets and working stock dogs, are healthy, smart, social, calm, easy to potty train, adjust to their new homes/work/family members with ease, beautiful and enriched by their joyful presence and personalities.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include brindle and white, brindle merle and white, and black and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
