I'm Heather S., the breeder behind Beltane Bonnies located in Union Grove, AL. My name is Heather Selens, owner and founder of Beltane Bonnies in Union Grove AL just south of Huntsville. We started our kennel to insure not only strong show bloodline and conformation but to also promote strong, confident, and loving companions for future families.

Why did you start breeding?
Our family moved from Florida to Alabama to buy a farm for my horses. We have a love and passion for animals on our farm and came in contact with a local breeder that agreed to be my mentor for raising AKC Miniature Poodles. She helped me find quality dogs to start my program and by doing so put me in contact with amazing women that run top kennels. I have made it my mission that our kennel will uphold this high standards raising our own pups.What makes your program special?
We are a small cottage industry in this market, so we will devote our families time, effort, and love into raising top quality pups. We raise these puppies in our home to get continual attention and support.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and moyen sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

About Quincy
Quincy is AKC, Moyen size poodle. She has a beautiful thick coat. Quincy is smart and fast at picking up new commands. She loves to accompany me while doing yard or horse chores. She snuggles with me on the couch. She is a wonderful mother. She loves to play with her favorite toy and chase after her friends.

About Raury
Raury is an AKC miniature poodle, both his mother and father are AKC Grand Champions. Raury is a sweet beautiful boy. He is wonderful with dogs, his puppies, cats, and horses. He loves to snuggle, play with toys, and run incredibly fast around the yard. He has a calm demeanor yet makes us laugh with his clown behavior.

My experience with Heather and Beltane Bonnies has been excellent. Heather is very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. I bread and showed Bearded Collie’s for years. I had three grand champions, two championed in Canada and one was a therapy dog. I know how important good breading is. It has been 16 years since I had a puppy and Heathers support and knowledge has been great.

+4We had an amazing experience working with Beltaine Bonnies (Heather and Kenneth)! After going through the process with them, we honestly could not imagine adopting from anyone else! They were incredibly professional, kind, and responsive. They answered all of our questions within just a few minutes, and never pressured us in any way towards adopting. They are focused on finding the best homes for their puppies, and they put in the time and effort to make that happen. They went above and beyond to help us decide on our puppy, they sent videos and photos, vet updates, and even did a video chat with us to show the puppies (we were across the country). No other breeder that we spoke with had anywhere near the same level of communication and transparency. In addition, when we came to get the puppy, we flew to Nashville and she drove over 2 hours to meet us there for the hand off! Beyond their amazing communication, they go above and beyond to train (leash, harness, potty, crate, carrier, bathing, grooming, car rides, and more) and socialize their puppies (with adults, kids, big dogs, small dogs, even horses!!). When we got our little Mabel, she was a perfect little Angel with the sweetest and calmest temperament I have ever seen in a dog. We flew almost 5 hours with her to get back home and she never cried even once! We could not be happier with the experience that we had, and we could not recommend Beltaine Bonnies enough! If you are looking for an ethical and professional breeder with the sweetest and most adorable poodles, don’t look any further!
