I'm Nichole B., the breeder behind Benders Boston’s located in Philippi, WV. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We start socializing them at 1 week old, and begin potty training and basic command training at an age appropriate time, so our families can enjoy bonding with their new family member, and acclimating puppy to the new home is a seamless transition. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!
Q. & A. with Nichole
Why did you start breeding?
I volunteered at a veterinarian hospital the last 2 years of high school, thinking I wanted to be a Veterinarian, however, after watching so many pets suffer, I knew that wasn’t for me. So, I became a nurse instead. Down the road, I developed a love for the Boston breed, and decided to do everything I could to improve the breed, so they weren’t in the Vet’s office, for sick visits.
I’m proud to say, that none of my dogs have ever needed anything but routine health checks and screening for genetic health traits. Never have needed a sick visit. I feed high quality food, they get plenty of exercise, and live indoors, climate controlled, and sleep in bed with us. We don’t vacation anymore as I do not feel comfortable boarding my whole crew, but, that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make for my furkids. If I need to go away for a few days, a family member will stay in my home with my furkids.
What makes your program special?
The hands-on, individualized care that our pups get, makes us stand out among the rest. Also, we outdoor potty train our pups, and provide early neurological stimulation, so they are well adjusted to the world when they walk into their new home. There is nothing like being able to bring your new baby home, and not have to immediately start worrying about what part of the floor they are going to pee/poo on. You get to just enjoy your baby, and continue the potty schedule they are accustomed to!! When I am at work (nightshift), my 21yo son keeps up with the nighttime potty routine, so that they don’t backtrack! It’s very important, as we don’t use potty pads…. it causes confusion for pups. So, they go from mom cleaning their bums, straight to grass at an age appropriate time.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include seal and white, black brindle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Beau”, dad
Boston Terrier
About “Beau”
“Beau’s” nickname describes him to a tee… he is truly “Beautiful”! He is a gentle, fun, loving, 2.5 year old boy who is 15 pounds of solid muscle…. as he LOVES to run outside or inside the house and chase balls or play with his Fur brothers/sisters. He sleeps in bed with our 21yo college student every night, and has a wonderful temperament. His favorite thing to do outside is sunbathe, followed by retrieving balls, and chewing on bones while sun-basking. He is a joy to have in the house. He is a black/white, and brindle boston, with a very classic body style- short/compact, and with a round/square head, and chocolate eyes.
He has been health tested/cleared. All of our pups come with a health guarantee contract.

This was our third Boston Terrier puppy adoption and by far it was the best experience we've had! We sadly lost our 2nd Boston just 4 months ago, to cancer and at the age of just 81/2. Having lost our first Boston just a year before that, we were especially cautious and selective about the breeder we wanted to work with this time. From our first communication with Nichole thru today, she was not only very responsive, but was sensitive to our past history and especially helpful with providing insight and details about Zoe's progress and stage of development (e.g. taking her out to poo immediately after finishing her meals...she's successsfully done that every time since we got her home!). Almost immediately, we could tell Zoe was raised and trained well. She knew her name (we named her three weeks before Zoe came home with us), did very well going out to pee/poo, was content in her crate, played on her own with toys, etc. Nichole's communication, and interest in how Zoe's doing, has continued and we suspect it will moving forward. Mostly, we could tell very quickly that she was a happy, loving, smart and sweet little girl and we can't thank Nichole enough for everything she did to help make that happen. We will definitely be contacting her when we are ready for a little sister for Zoe and have already given her name to several friends/family!

We are so fortunate to have chosen Benders Boston’s to find our newest family member. Nichole and her family’s dedication to the care and well being of the parents and puppies is exemplary. The communications gave us confidence in how the puppy we would bring home was cared for and loved. Nichole’s understanding of our senior dog and her needs in choosing the pup with the best temperament to bond with our whole family worked out brilliantly. The pup on arriving home and acclimating to her new family has brought a surge of youth to our senior dog. We value that the pup has been crate trained, and knows a set of commands and possesses the most sweet disposition. At the first visit to our family veterinarian the pup wowed the vet and their staff; who were impressed with how well cared for and spot on the records were for the timing of her first visit with them.
Thank you, Nichole!!

Nichole is a wonderful Boston Terrier breeder ! I chose her because I loved what she had communicated on the Gooddog site about who she is as a responsible breeder. She is loving and caring and so easy to work with. She sent me frequent updates and photos of my new baby girl.
She delivered my puppy directly to me which really helped me out. I can also still contact her with my training questions. She’s the best! I highly recommend her! Dale Korangy

Nichole and her husband were wonderful throughout the entire process! We love our Ozzy and he's assimilating nicely to our American bulldog and the Blizzard of 22 in Buffalo! 60 inches fell on our house, but he loves his sweaters and the snow! Bender's Boston's are truly wonderful, from the consistent updates through out the pregnancy and early days of puppy hood, to the thoughtful gift bag they sent with Ozzy at the end. Thank you for our baby boy!!!
