I'm Julie G., the breeder behind Bethel Retrievers located in Fruitland, ID. I’m a hands-on, ethical breeder raising AKC Golden Retrievers in a family home with kids. All parents are CHIC certified and fully health tested. My focus is on nurturing well-socialized, healthy puppies with excellent temperaments for lifelong companionship.

Why did you start breeding?
My love for animals and background in caregiving led me to breeding Golden Retrievers. Their loyal, gentle nature felt like the perfect fit. With guidance from a great mentor, I committed to raising healthy, well-socialized pups so others could experience the joy they’ve brought to our family.
What makes your program special?
What sets my program apart is a strong focus on health, temperament, and early socialization. All parents are CHIC certified and fully health tested. Puppies are raised in our home with kids, ensuring they’re well-adjusted, confident, and ready for family life. I blend ethical breeding with personal care.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Julie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
