Meet the breeder
I'm Barbara & Madison O., the breeder behind Bigfoot's Kennel located in Palisade, CO. It is our goal to produce adorable Springer Spaniel puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We absolutely love our puppy from the Owen’s! You can tell how much Barbara & Madison love their dogs as soon as you meet them & are incredibly knowledgeable about the breed. They were also very accommodating to our schedule when driving hours to meet the pups & eventually do the pickup. We were filled with questions & they were more than happy to answer them all including letting us know to reach out anytime to answer more. They were on top of the vaccines, records & lineage of our pup as well. Our puppy is very intelligent, a quick learner, full of spunk & lots of fun. We had a wonderful experience working with Barbara and Madison! They clearly adore their dogs and are very knowledgeable about this breed. They were flexible scheduling a time for us to meet the pups, and went above and beyond to drop off the pup at our house when it was convenient for us. Our sweet dog is 13 weeks old now, and has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is smart, loving, cute as a button, and has been very easy to train. Our kids love him, and he listens to them (!!). He has had zero accidents inside, and after a couple of nights and lots of rewards, he loves his crate. We are so pleased with our entire experience with Barbara and Madison and would work with them again if we bring home another springer in the future. :)

I have nothing but good today say about Barbara and Madison. They were friendly, professional (in the midst of a yard full of puppies of different ages) and so helpful. They were very accommodating of our schedule and invited us to see our dog, Addie when we asked to. We live just over a hour from them and they were conscious of that. They even were happy to welcome our son’s family when they come with us to visit Addie. Our puppy is wonderful and I’m so glad they raised her for the first 8 weeks of her life.
