Rebecca has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rebecca partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Prefer applicants to have experience with the breed. That being said, please do your research on the breed. They love their people and bond hard with their chosen person. Training is of the most important, an untrained dog that does not know basic commands will almost always end up in a shelter. This breed is very smart and will try to get their way and prove to you that their way is right way. It is your job as their human to make them believe your way is better with proper training. These dogs do not stop, hunting, swimming, fetching. running. It is our job to make sure they stay safe and that means watch your dog and assess when he is overdoing it. They are sensitive and know when they have messed up. With love you can teach and train your dog to be the best it can be. Questions are always welcome and encouraged. ”

“This price includes 1st round of vaccinations, deworming at 4 ,6, & 8 weeks. In some cases genetic testing would be extra, if requested. Reason being 1 of my females is a PRA carrier, this is not a problem unless you plan to breed. AKC registration would be limited until you show proof of OFA certs on elbows & hips & Genetic testing of EIC, DM, and PRA-Prcd, if you plan to breed. If you do not own the opposite sex, health certs must be obtained and approved by me as well. Once I receive proof of health certs on both dogs, the AKC registration of your dog will be changed to full for an additional $300.00. This insures that my lines stay pure and healthy. I try to go according to who contacts first, and what sex they are interested in, but my wait list is first deposit I receive to hold puppy go to top of the list. I am a small breeder and the pups go fast. Once the deposit is received, it is non-refundable, except at the breeders discretion. All deposits can be applied to next litter should the buyer change their mind.”

At the scary vet office then they poked and prodded us and then stuck something sharp in our shoulders. We took it like a true Chessies and never made a sound. Little Piper weighed in at 11 lbs Tonka weighed 12 lbs Chase, Sadie, and Remi all came in at 15 lbs and Colt the little chunk monkey and first born weighed a whopping 18 lbs. sleeping through the night crate training is going great. They are having accidents but that is part of the training.

Early morning outside play before it gets too hot. So the pups love the water and running around in the grass

More outside grass & pool play. They love the grass and enjoy playing in the water. They are only getting about an hr of outside play. It is too hot even with misters around their enclosure for anything longer than an hr.

7 weeks old today. All are over 10 lbs except little Piper. But don’t let her small size fool ya, she takes on Colt and Chase with no problem. It’s almost as if she waits till they’re asleep to get her revenge. Then she tackles them. I’ve started calling her mighty midget. Sadie comes in as 2nd to the smallest and these girls do not let the bigger siblings get away with anything. She is just as bad as Piper exacting her revenge while the others sleep. They are almost always the last to fall asleep, like they planned it so they can get their revenge on the others. Cracks me up, they are so stinking adorable at this age.

Crate training began tonight for dinner. And of course after they all had their first bath, they have pooped in the crate, spilled their food and stomped it all into the perfect slushie. Oh the joys of raising a litter.

Triton and Tea's litter

Rebecca L.
6 weeks old. And a week of grandchildren playing and socializing them. The kids didn’t want to leave the puppies to go home. The puppy pile is Remi on the bottom. Don’t know who it is on top of her, but they think she makes a good pillow.

Water play and puppy zoomies. 1st outdoor adventure. Graduated from softened kibble to dry kibble. Sadie (yellow collar) thinks its her personal dig hole.

Triton and Tea's litter

Rebecca L.
5 weeks old and graduated from mush to softened kibble. Still wanting to nurse, but are satisfied with 3 meals a day and a mom snack before bed to tide them over till morning.

You know you’re a bada$$ (Colt) when you’re the one laying on all the ice blocks to stay cool. Early morning wrestling match, and king of the hill.

Whelping box gone. Replaced with a grass potty patch. Most are doing great navigating the stairs and ramps to get to this potty box. They love the ball pit and dive right in. Learning to drink from the licker spot of the water bottle. Not a fan just yet but they’ll get there. And added the activity center.

Rebecca at Birdsview Chesapeake Kennel has been an absolute joy to work with from the very first message. Her enthusiasm and genuine love for her dogs comes through in everything she does. She was incredibly responsive, patient with every question, and always made sure I felt informed and supported throughout the entire process. Floyd has been an amazing addition to our family — confident, healthy, social, and full of personality. It’s clear he came from a breeder who truly cares about her animals and raises them with intention and heart. I can’t recommend Rebecca highly enough, and I’m already looking forward to working with her again in the future. If you’re looking for a Chesapeake Bay Retriever from someone you can trust completely, Birdsview is the place.

Our experience with Birdsview has been awesome. Rebecca was very responsive, updating us with puppies videos, before we picked up our Female Chessie. Pick up was great, meeting us half way by Rebecca’s partner, Bill. We received a full care package to begin life with our new puppy and lots of tips! This small breeder is family oriented which shows in the way they care for their dogs and puppies. The sire and dam are AKC registered and beautiful dogs with a great pedigree, and the pups are just a gorgeous mix of colors. Couldn't be happier.

Rebecca was so lovely to work with. She was very responsive, quick to communicate with us and cares so deeply for all the dogs and puppies in her care. We knew we wanted a Chesapeake Bay Retriever as first time dog owners, and Rebecca was more than accommodating and informative about the care that a puppy would need. We are so grateful to have taken home a puppy from her care. The breeding dogs were in gorgeous condition when we went to pick our puppy up, they had been properly desensitized to people and even cats, and we got a full health screening of his parents.

We found Koda at Birdsview Chesapeakes. Becci was an absolute delight to work with. She kept us well-informed about the puppies’ growth and progress, ensuring we had all the necessary information to bring our pup home from Las Vegas to Washington state. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and extensive knowledge made her an exceptional guide throughout the process. I highly recommend working with her to find your perfect pup!

Rebecca was very knowledgeable about how to raise, and take care of her puppies. She answered every question I had about the breed. She facilitated the delivery and gave me everything I needed to take care of her. My puppy is so sweet, and very smart. I would recommend her for a person looking to adopt a puppy . My puppy, “Chessie”, is going to make a great companion, and I hope she outlive’s me.
