



I'm Michelle, the breeder behind Yamadori Shiba Inu located in Hanford, CA. I’m a small-scale breeder of Shiba Inu. My priorities when breeding are health, temperament, and to abide by the breed standard. I am a member of Nippo and our regional AKC breed club. I am currently the ONLY responsible breeding program for this breed in Central Valley California.

Daichi is a spunky character. He is very confident with himself, he see’s himself as an important individual in our household. Daichi love to play with squeaky toys, he loves to cuddle and take up all the room possible on the couch or bed.

Aiko is a very loyal girl, she follows us like a shadow and loves to play with squeaky toys. She is also a real big foodie, especially if you have a beef treat.

Senzo is a very kind character. He absolutely adores puppies and people. He is very sweet and has a happy-go-lucky personality. Always wagging his tail. He has no thoughts, head empty kinda guy but, he has things to do; Mostly just things and stuff but, nothing in particular.

About Yumi
Yumi is an exciting character. She loves to kiss and hug, her favorite thing to do is chase a ball. She is vocal and loves expressing her emotions with very particular sounds.

Dharma is currently to young but he will be a future stud. Dharma is the son of Yumi and Daichi, he is an absolute clown, vocal like his mother. Super sweet with a little spice. Absolutely adores people. He enjoys running with his best friend a Borzoi.

Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
GM1 Gangliosidosis (GLB1), Shiba Inu Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
